Biography & Story
In the spring of 2005 I took a 200 hour certification with YogaFit out of pure curiosity. I was a practicing weekend warrior at best. It wasn’t until I was first introduced to Bikram Yoga by a friend who also happened to be a teacher that my passion for yoga and heat was ignited.
My first class was terribly uncomfortable and I experienced large amounts of anger well up inside my body. It took a year for me to return when I experienced a profound shift, something aligned and I began practicing with what seemed like boundless hope and enthusiasm. Within less than 6 months I attended teacher training in Acapulco Mexico with the class of fall ’08.
I then spent a year in Florida being mentored by my teachers on and off the podium. From there I traveled world wide teaching Bikram as well as practicing many other forms of yoga. I settled in NYC for a spell and now call Ohio home.
It’s an amazing journey on my mat. I’ve meet friends, mentors, the father of my children as well as practiced through both pregnancies, and pushed my mind, body and spirit to gratifying depths. I now stand ready to open a studio, here in Pataskala.
I believe yoga has the ability to transform people and I am forever grateful to be witness to the change I see in others as well as myself. Yay! Yoga!
